Role victimity in behavior of adolescents from socially unprotected families

Abstract

The contribution describes the results of a research of specifics of manifestation of role victimity in the behavior adolescents from different types of families (complete, incomplete, socially unprotected). Socially unprotected family is viewed as a special defensive group, the members of which bear role-based psychological victimity which manifests itself in specific victim roles (playing or social). It is shown that adolescents from socially unprotected families are guided in their behavior by rental and querulous mindsets. It was found that resilience is a necessary resource which helps to overcome both external (environment) and internal (victimity, defensivity) negative conditions of socialization. But adolescents from socially unprotected families do not use this resource to the full extent and use the victim role behavior which facilitates “comfortable” adaptation, protects from false and real dangers of the outside world, allows to manipulate others in order to receive support which they, according to their assumptions, need.
