Socio-psychological characteristic of labour market

Abstract

The article deals with peculiarities of young specialists’ job placement, notions of competitive ability, social and psychological mobility at the labour market. It analyses qualities, socially significant at the contemporary labour market, and influence of age and gender features on the efficiency of job placement. It is supposed that adjustment at the labour market depends directly on the level of young specialists’ preparedness and awareness of peculiarities of market relations and requirements to an applicant for a vacancy. Since nowadays job-seeking is similar to a business-project that includes planning, advertising, marketing and sales, insofar the knowledge of market situation and business etiquette, the skills in demonstrating one’s professional level and making up the necessary application documents are necessary. The article describes the means of students’ adjustment to the market situation through training courses.
