Abstract

The paper considers individual attachment to place and sense of place as basic parame- ters of human interactions and self-actualization; it analyses various theoretical models of such phenomena as well as constructs underlying them. One of the models for exploring attachment to place was modified by the author and tested empirically. In-depth descriptions of the very phenomena of attachment to place, sense of place, identification with place, addiction to place, and some others are also provided.
