The specifics of psychological and pedagogical support in the context of digitalization of society

Context and relevance. The digital transformation of education creates a contradiction between the introduction of new technologies and the insufficient development of adapted models of psychological and pedagogical support (PPS). The increase in psychological risks for students (information overload, cyberbullying) determines the relevance of rethinking traditional approaches to support. Objective. To theoretically substantiate the specifics of PPS in the context of digitalization, identify its key areas and psychological factors of success. Hypothesis. PPS lies not in replacing face-to-face forms of education with online tools, but in a fundamental rethinking of the goals and methods of support, where digital tools act as a tool for strengthening the person-centered approach. Methods and materials. The theoretical basis for this study consists of works on the issues of digitalization of education, educational psychology, and management. Methods of comparative analysis, synthesis, and systematization of scientific sources were applied. Results. It was found that digital socialization gives rise to new groups of problems for students (psychosomatic disorders, risks of manipulation). It was established that the main psychological factors in the adoption of a digital educational environment are the motivational-semantic sphere and self-regulation skills, rather than personality traits. The transformation of the teacher's role into a tutor and facilitator is demonstrated, as well as the expansion of the range of support tools through digital platforms. A key problem in practice is identified: the substitution of genuine support with simple information. Conclusions. The specificity of modern teaching and training is determined by the need for preventive measures, the integration of teachers' efforts, and the combination of in-person and digital formats. The foundation of support remains the development of independence, reflection, and "soft" skills in students. Digital tools should be integrated into a student-centered strategy, serving as a means, not an end, of support.
