The Possibilities of Typological Approach in the Study of Epistemological Styles

Abstract

In the article possibilities of typological approach in defi nition of the psychological content of the concept “epistemological style” are discussed. Justifi cation of value of subject approach is given in studying of a problem of informative styles and, in particular, in use of the subject — object orienta- tions typology in research of substantial components of epistemological styles. As a result of the theoretical analysis the similar typologies of the personality reflecting psychological reality which can be described through the concept “epistemological style” are revealed.
