Lack of Reliability, Validity and Standardization of Questionnaires for the Detection of Drug Addiction, Which Are Freely Available

Abstract

The article considers the problem of the lack of criteria for the reliability of psychological methods that are freely available, since the problem of their use and interpretation without taking into account the criteria for evaluating the methodology itself is becoming more and more urgent. Based on the data obtained, often insufficiently experienced psychologists make conclusions that not only do not reflect the real situation, but which can negatively affect the relationships in the team. The authors analyzed a number of questionnaires for the identification of drug addiction, which are freely available on the Internet. Based on the data obtained during the study, it is concluded that the majority of questionnaires, with the help of which the authors propose to measure the propensity to drug addiction, do not meet the requirements for psychological research methods, which is expressed in the instability of the diagnosed property; imperfection of diagnostic methods; the changing situation of the examination; fluctuations in the functional state, since the subject understands the criteria for evaluating his answers. From which it can be concluded that tests for the detection of drug addiction, which are freely available, are unsuitable for measurement, since they give results that do not correspond to reality.
