Digital Competencies of Psychologists in the Field of Prevention of Deviant Behavior

Abstract

The article discusses actual issues in the field of digital competencies of psychologists in the process of psychoprophylaxis of deviant behavior. During the digitalization of modern society, the emergence of new risks and threats associated with the use of the Internet, these competencies require reflection, discussion in the professional community and systematization. The specificity of psychoprophylaxis as a direction of activity of a psychologist is revealed. The formats of psychological online help are discussed, such as psychodiagnostics, online counseling, developmental and psychocorrectional work, education, scientific and methodological activities, and psychological support. Attention is paid to the Internet technologies used by specialists in the prevention of deviant behavior. The authors propose a structure of digital competencies for psychologists, which includes technical competence, online business communication competence, information and multimedia competence, information security and confidentiality competence. The definition and content of each competence is given, examples are given that are encountered in the practice of providing online assistance and the implementation of psycho-prophylactic activities. There is accentuated on the possession by a psychologist of knowledge in the field of cyberpsychology, the features of mental activity and human behavior in virtual reality and online space. Conclusions are formulated about the role of the described competencies in the context of the prevention of deviant behavior.
