Abstract

The article provides an analysis of the author's two-year experience in the framework of psychological support for adolescents studying online. Psychological support for adolescents in the form of weekly online classes lasting 45 minutes in the process of synchronous online learning was carried out from the spring of 2023 to the spring of 2025. The average age of students is 12-17 years old. In terms of the disadvantages of online learning, an attempt has been made to systematize the psychological techniques used in online classes that help to mitigate the negative impact of these disadvantages of online learning. Disadvantages of online learning identified for the systematization of psychological techniques: negative impact on physical and mental health, risk of social isolation, deterioration of basic cognitive competencies, decreased involvement in the learning process, high demands on students' self-control. Evaluation of the effectiveness of psychological techniques used to help mitigate the negative impact of online learning disadvantages was carried out by collecting feedback from students and their parents, as well as the criteria identified by the author for observation. The presented results can be used to work within the framework of psychological support for adolescents in the online learning process, taking into account the limitations of the procedure itself for evaluating the effectiveness of psychological techniques used to help mitigate the negative impact of online learning disadvantages.
