Association Cards in the Practice of Teacher-Psychologist

Abstract

The article is devoted to associative cards — rapidly developing tool of psychological work with children and adults. Advantages, principles of work with cards, rules of work, situations of using associative cards in psychological work with children using the example of author's sets of cards are described. Associative cards are qualitative, convenient projective didactic material used in group and individual work with children and adults. The use of associative cards (AC) gives the child the opportunity to metaphorically simulate reality in a playful way. “Associative cards” is a projective technique that helps to quickly “extract” the true problem from the unconscious and work directly with it. The study of existing sets of MAC for children showed that most often they do not meet the needs of a school teacher-psychologist working in Russia. In work with younger scholars with psychological risks and psychological traumas there use three sets of author’s associative cards of “Moods”, “Childhood” and “FRH (Fears, Resentment, Heroes)”.
