Program of Prevention of Deviant Behavior in Adolescents with Mental Delay “Beauty Is inside Me”

Abstract

One of the tasks of modern education is the creation of psychological and pedagogical conditions for the successful socialization of the child. However, the socialization of children and adolescents with mental retardation is an acute urgent problem, with the entry of children with mental retardation into adolescence, it only gets worse; the development of this category of adolescents in the direction of deviation of behavior is increasing. The goal of prevention of deviant behavior of adolescents with mental retardation, their effective socialization is relevant to the correction of their psycho-emotional state and the development of self-expression and self-knowledge abilities. An effective means of facilitating the “entry” of adolescents with mental retardation into society is art, the preventive possibilities of which are due to the provision of opportunities for self-expression and self-development, assertion and self-knowledge. One of the modern effective tools for preventive work with adolescents is an innovative and unparalleled technology — sets of game developing and rehabilitation equipment “Mozartika” by the author-developer P.E. Russavskaya. The program “Beauty is inside me” is based on the application of this technology. It is short-term (implemented within one academic year), is designed for 34 academic hours.
