Pathological callers with borderline personality organization on helpline. A case-study

Abstract

The article deals with specific features of callers with borderline personal structure and forms of work with this category of callers. Characteristic features of these people — primitive defense mechanisms, strong ambivalent feelings, personal borders disturbances — are analyzed by their manifestations in calls and their influence on counselors. In the end a case of pathological caller is analyzed through the prism of counselors' discussions in intervisions and supervisions.
