About the primary education system aimed at the general development of students (L.V. Zankov system)

Context and relevance. The article is a theoretical review of the developmental learning system of L.V. Zankov. The author discusses the relevance of the term "developmental learning" as opposed to the traditional approach, which is focused mainly on the formation of skills, and not on the general development of the child's psyche. Purpose. Give a brief idea of ​ ​ the essence, didactic principles and results of the learning system aimed at the general development of schoolchildren (L.V. Zankov system). Methods and materials. Theoretical analysis and review of the literature on the L.V. Zankov system Methodological foundations of the system based on the understanding of development as a process of neoplasms in the psyche under the influence of external and internal factors Didactic principles: learning at a high level of difficulties, the leading role of theoretical knowledge, the rapid pace of study of material, students' awareness of the teaching process and the general development of all students Methodological system, including such properties as versatility, procedural, conflict resolution and variability Results. The fundamental difference between traditional learning (giving knowledge) and developmental learning (leading to knowledge) was revealed. The Zankov system ensures the mental well-being and comfort of children in the educational environment. Students demonstrate full mastery of the school curriculum and effective promotion in general development. A positive attitude towards this system was noted on the part of teachers and parents. The educational system of L.V. Zankov is a holistic approach that combines the leading role of learning with a careful attitude to the inner world of the child, which contributes to both the successful development of knowledge and the general mental development of schoolchildren.
