Abstract

The article details various interpretations of the adolescent crisis (L.S. Vygotsky, S. Hall, L.I. Bozovic, D.B. Elkonin, E. Erickson). The author analyzes this phenomenon in the context of the general process of age-related development. Examples are given of two forms of the crisis - the "crisis of dependence" and the "crisis of independence." The technique of B. Zazzo "The Choice of Golden Age" is used, which showed the simultaneous presence of these two opposite trends. The positive meaning of the adolescent crisis lies in the formation of ways of behavior that allow the teenager to further cope with life's difficulties.
