Abstract

The author studied the real possibilities for the development of theoretical thinking of younger adolescents 11-12 years old. He developed a methodology for teaching mathematics, built in the form of quasi-research activities. It had a significant impact on the development of theoretical thinking of younger adolescents and on the success of their assimilation of the very content of mathematics. In such training, the cognitive activity of adolescents and the search orientation of their consciousness are realized.
