Gender-Role Identity Among Adolescents Who Have Committed Violent Offenses of Aggressiveand Sexual Nature

The article presents the study on gender-role identity of adolescents who have committed violent offenses. The characteristics of gender-role identity among 30 boys aged 15–16, students at Mozhaisk Colony UIN MJ RF MoD who have committed violent actions of aggressive and sexual nature were compared to 30 adolescent boys aged 15-16, students of Moscow schools. It was hypothesized that adolescent boys who have committed violent offenses of aggressive and sexual nature have a specific gender-role identity, acting as a factor affecting the formation of delinquent behavior. The study demonstrates the specific characteristics of the gender-role identity among adolescent boys who have committed violent acts of aggressive and sexual nature and the differences from their peers with normative behavior.
