1078

Abstract

The article presents results of the study on relationship between the junior schoolchildren’s individual accomplishments and indicators of their subjective quality of life. The study involved 154 students in grade 3 and the following questionnaires were used: “Quality of Life” (PedsQLtm4.0.) and “Assessment of the Child’s Accomplishments”. The results indicate that love for learning, enthusiasm and fascination, kindness, justice and generosity, as well as desire for recognition of own accomplishments are the key to the child’s well-being. The most vivid dependency was found between individual accomplishments of the child and his/her indices of emotional, social and school well-being. The authors stress the importance of the results since contribution of several indicators of individual accomplishments in understanding of the quality of life by children was statistically established.
