The phenomenon of “socialization” as realized by the subjects of the educational process

Abstract

The contribution explains the relevance of the socialization problem, the existence of contradictions in the perceptions of the phenomenon of “socialization” of all participants of the educational process, of role, level of influence and responsibility of main institute and agents of socialization. It presents the results of a research aimed at studying the perceptions of the process of socialization of the participants of the educational process. It analyzes the aspects of understanding of the phenomenon of “socialization”, nature, aims and results of the process of socialization by the participants of the research; evaluation of the level of development of characteristics of a socialized personality of modern pupils of higher grades by all participants of the educational process; it also compares the levels of actual and desired influence of the institutes and agents of socialization on the process of socialization of pupils of higher grades from the point of view of the participants of the educational process. Describing the perceptions of the socialization process of all participants of the educational process, the author identifies a number of risks which may distort this process, make it less effective for the growing person.
