Social and psychological aspects of criminal juvenile justice in world practice (continental models of juvenile justice)

Abstract

The contribution analyzes the problem of creation of a system of specialized justice for juvenile offenders in the Russian Federation. It analyzes the modern principles and models of juvenile justice. It also presents the foreign experience of including special social and psychological knowledge in specialized justice regarding the juveniles. It analyzes approaches to complex tracking of juvenile offenders in continental models of juvenile justice. It also examines the possibilities of using special psychological knowledge in a number of European union countries. It analyzes the work of social, psychological and clinical services working with juvenile offenders within the framework of juvenile justice in France, Germany and Poland. In regard to these systems the contribution presents the experience of tracking juveniles on different stages, as well as experience of implementing the continuity of the process of rehabilitation of juvenile offenders.
