On Rehabilitation of the Term "Collective" and the Revival of Collectivism Problematics

The article presents materials which describe the specifics of research dynamics of "collective and collectivism" problematics. It is shown that in 60s-70s of the XX century in the research institute of general and educational psychology of ESA of USSR (nowadays Institute of psychology of REA) these topics were directly associated with, primarily, research activity of laboratories managed by A. V. Petrovskiy and L. I. Bozhovich. The article, on the one hand, determines the reasons why terms "collective", "collectivism" etc. were virtually dropped out of modern national academic vocabulary, and, on the other hand, indicates those areas of modern foreign psychology where the aforementioned vocabulary and its psychological informative content is popular among researchers and actively employed. Obvious academic potential of "collective", "collectivism", "collectivity" research topics in modern psychology, including national psychology, is pointed out.
