International Forum of Experts in Social Psychological Issues in Education

The article presents a report on the First International Scientific Conference "Social Psychology in the field of education", which was held in October 2013 in MSUPE. More than 250 participants took part in numerous activities: plenary ses- sions, poster presentations, videoconferences, breakout sessions, workshops, and the extended round table meeting of heads of social psychology chairs and departments of various universities of Moscow metropolitan area. The aim of the conference was to bring together the experience and knowledge of researchers and experts in social psychology working upon the development of theoretical and applied approaches to increasing the quality and efficiency of the educational system. The resolution of the conference reflects the decisions taken by its members to extend the social psycholog- ical studies in education, to promote the use of social psychological techniques in the work of psychologists and to further the development of cooperation between teach- ers, school counselors, administration, students and parents.
