Digital Technologies as a Means of Forming Interdisciplinary Knowledge and Skills in Mathematics and Computer Science Among Schoolchildren I
Abstract
The article presents the results and conclusions of a study showing that an effective means of forming interdisciplinary knowledge and skills among schoolchildren in mathematics and computer science are integrated tasks involving the use of digital technologies to solve them. The authors have identified and tested several types of integrated tasks in the practice of working with students of grades 8-9: tasks for compiling algorithms for solving algebraic and geometric problems; tasks with performing the simplest work in MS Word with numerical data and quantities; tasks on the topic "Number systems (with variable base)"; mathematical tasks requiring solutions with implementation in the Pascal programming language; mathematical tasks requiring solutions with implementation in the Python programming language; tasks for plotting algebraic functions using Excel spreadsheets; tasks for solving systems of equations using a graphical method using Excel spreadsheets. Comparative results of the ascertaining and control experiments showed that the success rate of completing tasks of these types increased by 42% on average among the students of the experimental group. The use of integrated tasks in mathematics and computer science using digital technologies in the educational process contributes to the achievement of a number of educational results, the development of cognitive and meta-subject skills of students.
