Using Virtual Laboratory Work as a Tool for Developing the Research Skills of Future Communication Engineers

2

Abstract

The paper considers the issue of using virtual laboratory work to develop the research skills of future communication engineers. In the modern world, the telecommunications industry needs personnel with research skills. As a tool for developing skills, the authors suggest using virtual laboratory work, which has a lower cost, has a lower risk of failure, but with proper development can completely replace real equipment. Also, the article provides an example of the implementation of this approach using the example of a developed digital multimeter simulator. The authors conclude that virtualization of laboratory work makes the learning process more relaxed, flexible and personalized, as well as allows for the development of cause-and-effect relationships, analytical thinking and cognition. Successful completion of work affects motivational success, as students see the result of their own actions and are not afraid to make mistakes.
