Abstract

It is safe to say that modern civilization is experiencing another technological revolution ̶ the revolution of information technology. Its main difference from previously occurring technological revolutions is that the main focus is on information processing processes, and not material and energy ones, as before. This specificity of the revolution of information technology determines the undoubted priority of studying the role and place in the field of education. This issue is sharply actualized with the advent of accessible modern means of artificial intelligence. The emerging new information technologies have enormous multi-faceted potential. The scientific basis on which their use in the educational process should be built has not yet been built and many related questions are still waiting to be answered. At the same time, information technologies are being actively introduced into the educational process everywhere, and not only on a regular basis. With the advent of widely accessible means of artificial intelligence, the widespread use of information technologies has sharply exacerbated many aspects of educational processes. The pedagogical community does not have a single view on the development paths of the education sector in the emerging qualitatively new conditions. However, numerous facts of very negative consequences of the current situation have been recorded. Based on the analysis, the thesis is substantiated: the basis of most digital technologies that arise on the path of implementation in the educational process is a violation of the principle of goal-setting. The fact is that the proposed innovations cause consequences that are often in conflict with the basic goal of education, as a fundamental duty of the state.
