Проблема детского понимания смерти

Представлен обзор англо-американских исследований детского понимания смерти, имеющих шестидесятилетнюю традицию. Рассматривается проблема возрастных стадий в усвоении детьми естественно - научного понятия о смерти (S. Antony, M. Nagy, A. Gessell) и факторов его становления в онтогенезе (А. Mauer, M. McIntire, I. Orbach, G. Koocher, S. Shonfield, S. Smilansky, V. Slaughter, E. White). Обосновывается отход от представлений о наличии последовательных возрастных стадий в этом процессе. Отмечается наметившийся в последние годы переход от методик исследований типа наблюдений за играми детей или открытых вопросов к более стандартизированным методикам, позволяющим получать сопоставимые результаты. Обобщаются данные о результатах изучения содержании «зрелого» понимания смерти как совокупности таких субпонятий, как «необратимость» (невозможность оживления), «отсутствие функционирования» (невозможность телесной и ментальной активности), «универсальность» (всеобщность, неизбежность и непредсказуемость смерти) и «причинность» (абстрактное и реалистическое понимание причин смерти). Выделяется проблема становления понимания личной смертности и характеризуются подходы к ее решению, ни один из которых к настоящему времени не получил еще достаточного обоснованием
