Abstract

The article outlines the factors that effect in contemporary society and create demand for modernization of the education system. It provides requirements to up-to-date teachers that were formulated with participation of the Federation of Russian Educational Psychologists members. The experience of elaboration of higher professional education standard in Educational Psychology and basic competences of alumni with B.A. and M.A. degrees are described.
