Acmeologic Aspects in the Teaching of Educational Psychology

Abstract

The article analyzes relationship of educational psychology and the new field in human science – acmeology. The possibilities of synthesis of educational psychology and acmeology of education within the psychological training of pedagogy students are shown. The development of acmeologic ideas in the process of educational psychology teaching is based on the principles of acmeologic approach to the study of educational activity and personality of the educator. The author’s approach to teaching educational psychology involves the increasing coverage of the productivity issues in educational activities as a form of professional activity. It includes in-depth reviewing the particularities of the productive pedagogical activity. It allows describing characteristics of the educational activity productivity levels and analyzing factors and conditions for personal and professional development of educators. The main purpose of including the acmeological notions into the course content of educational psychology is the widening of students ' knowledge about the nature, criteria, and ways of achieving the professionalism in the educators’ work as well as activation of their need to reach the “peak” in their lives.
