Abstract

Moscow Winter Psychological School for Students, Ph.D students and Young Scientists "Psychology of Social Issues: XXI Century Challenges" was held 17th—21st of February 2011 with the support of Psychology faculty of M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. The scientific agenda of the School was elaborated by the Social psychology chair of MSU Psychology faculty. A range of lectures on topical issues of contemporary Russian society was given by leading researchers for the School participants: G. Andreeva "Psychology of social issues", T. Emelyanova "Social issues through the prism of the Russians social representations", N. Grishina "Psychology of a human life scenario". Workshops held at the Winter Psychological School allowed the participants to try on the role of a practicing psychologist solving certain types of social problems: T. Bazarov "Experiment in social psychology: potential for development and change", E. Bityutskaya " Projective methods in diagnostics representations of a social situation", I. Eliseeva "Psychological aspect of help in emergency situations". The works of the Winter Psychological School resulted into several research and applied projects: "The scope of ethnic relationships", "Social justice and injustice", "Psychophysiological project", "Bio-psychosocial model of xenophobia", "Field experiment in research of social problems", "Social isolation", "Play methods for solving creative tasks", "Our and outsider world", "Corruption as cooperation".
