Psychological Characteristics of Interethnic Relations in Serbia

957

Abstract

In this article we analyze the problem of interethnic relations in Serbia. The research interest stems from the contradictory interactions of various ethnic groups living on the ter- ritory of Serbia, most of whom are members of the former Yugoslav republics. Analysis of Serbian studies on this subject allowed us to identify the following two main factors that determine interethnic relations in Serbia: ethno-religious identity and interethnic attitudes. These factors affect interethnic relations both at group and individual levels, and their inner contents are shaped by multiple ethnic, culture and religious phenomena.
