Abstract

Criteria for assessing the quality of life of adolescents and young adults with mental disabilities and severe multiple developmental disabilities should take into account their needs, limitations and individual characteristics. This article describes the experience of evaluating the effectiveness of support programs through the analysis of changes in indicators of spatial and temporal orientation, social, communicative, craft skills and emotional-volitional sphere, based on systematic supervision of specialists and keeping a development diary. It is shown that such an approach to assessing the well-being of wards allows you to identify support targets in time and thereby contribute to the development of their independence skills and successful socialization.
