Formation of Digital Competencies Among Activists of School Media Centers

The article deals with the problem of digitalization of all spheres of human life, the transformation of education in connection with the challenges of modern times. A brief overview of the formats of school media centers is given, the level of formation of media literacy of students is analyzed. It is said about the need to develop students' ability to work with information, digital competencies. The article presents the experience of teachers of the institution of additional education with activists of school media centers on the formation of digital competencies. Effective and entertaining from a practical point of view forms of work to improve the media literacy of activists of school media centers are described. The methodology of using such modern forms of work with teenagers as educational intensive courses, class meetings, competitions in a remote format for the purpose of media education of students is described in detail. It is said that holding such events in a distance format allows students not only to gain new knowledge, form digital competencies, but also to apply them in practice, taking part in the creation of a unified media space for schoolchildren of the district.
