Abstract

The paper presents the characteristics of some aspects of information support for inclusion in Russian schools based on a 2023 study of the inclusiveness of the educational environment in 15% of randomly selected educational organizations in 82 regions of Russia. The study involved 3,054 schools, in which 3,054 heads, 23,578 teachers and 48,060 parents of students were surveyed. The results of the frequency analysis of responses to online questionnaires of heads of educational organizations and parents are presented. According to the data obtained, the overwhelming majority of websites of mass schools (93%) are adapted for people with visual impairments, but only 6% of school websites are adapted for people with hearing impairments. Less than half of schools (48%) use Braille signboards and less than a third (32%) use information and tactile signboards, while more technologically advanced information tools are available in less than 10% of schools or are almost not used. At the same time, the level of satisfaction of parents (excluding the separate opinion of parents of children with disabilities) with information provision is high: 90% believe that there is a lot of information and it is accessible or that there is almost all the necessary information. This fact requires special study.
