Условия адаптации иностранных студентов в ВУЗах

Аннотация

В статье рассматриваются особенности адаптации иностранных студентов и аспирантов в вузах различных стран – Европы, Азии, Америки и Австралии. В зарубежной психологии отмечается ряд внешних и внутренних факторов, определяющих успешность адаптации и обусловливающих трудности протекания адаптационных процессов. К основным внешним факторам относят культурную дистанцию между родной и принимающей странами, возраст и пол обучающихся, специфику проживания в кампусах, бытовые проблемы и климат. Социокультурная адаптация зависит, главным образом, от степени близости культур, хотя в любом случае иностранные студенты переживают «культурный шок». К основным внутренним факторам относят коммуникативную компетентность, характер мотивации, самоэффективность, ценностные ориентации. При обучении в аспирантуре ВУЗа другой страны возникают те же проблемы, что и при получении высшего образования, но они стоят более остро из-за включения в исследовательскую деятельность, особенно связанную с использованием аппаратуры и требующую согласования режима работы с коллегами. В зарубежной психологии большое внимание оказывается социальной поддержке иностранных студентов – информационной, эмоциональной и инструментальной.
