Dynamics of parameters of personal potential of students-participants of the visiting educational expedition
Abstract
Context and relevance. Personal potential (PP) is an important factor in preparing students for professional activities in modern conditions of high uncertainty. The theoretical basis of the study is the concept of personal potential by D.A. Leontiev. Objective. To identify the dynamics of the parameters of PP of university students depending on the features of representing the experience of project activities within the framework of an off-site educational expedition. Hypothesis. Сonsists of an assumption about the peculiarities of the dynamics of the PP parameters in students who represent differently in their consciousness the experience of project activities within the framework of an educational expedition. Methods and materials. The study involved 20 students of Russian universities. The parameters of PP were assessed using “Multiple Stimulus Types Ambiguity Tolerance Scale” by D. MacLean (abridged version (MSTAT-II) adapted by D.A. Leontiev, E.N. Osin, E.G. Lukovitskaya); responsibility scale (D.A. Leontiev); questionnaire of personal life position (D.A. Leontiev, A.E. Shilmanskaya); “Professional Self-Efficacy Scale” (R. Schwarzer, M. Yerusalem and V. Romek, in adaptation by T.O. Gordeeva). Features of representation of experience of project activities were revealed with the help of narrative interviews. Results. The results showed that the participants who represented in their minds specific professional skills acquired during the expedition and see opportunities for their application in professional activities, noted an increase in the parameters of PP. Conclusions. The data obtained allow us to recommend regular procedures of reflection of experience with an emphasis on professional activity for the development of students' PP by means of project activities within the framework of off-site educational expeditions.
