Education in the Russian Federation Up to the Year 2010

Abstract

The articles expresses the need for modernization of the system of psychological-educational and medical-social support (Centres for Psychologal, Medical and Social support and the others) in the educational institutions. Such modernization has to consider international development trends and new social requirements in this sphere. Without the described modernization it is impossible to provide high quality and accessibility of education for all the groups of children and youth, to decrease unemployment and tensions in the society. The authors outline the development of normative and jurudicial groundings of psychological support in the sphere of education, organizational base of this system at the federal, regional and municipal levels.
