Abstract

The article examines the peculiarities of construction of technology for development of educational and program documentation for professional educational block “Third age university” within the framework of traditional education, which is based on the modular principle of education of older persons. It analyzes the advantages and efficiency of modular education within the education system. It is shown that the aims of modular education are formulated in terms of activity methods and activity ways and are divided into cognition cycles and cycles of other kinds of activity. Modular education is distinguished by problem approach, student’s creative attitude to learning. The article describes the main principles of selection and structuring of the content of education for third age persons, as well as principles of creation of system of development of educational and program documentation for professional education of older persons.
