Abstract

The paper presents an advanced training program for specialists working in the field of traffic and transport psychology. This program consists of two sections which thoroughly dis¬cuss the issues related to the most recent foreign applied research in traffic psychology and provide a review of some foreign programs of psychological training for drivers. The program also focuses on the social psychological aspects of road traffic (that is, on the interactions between road users in a big city) as well as on individual psychological characteristics of road users and the importance of exploring them in order to achieve better road safety and pro¬mote accident-free driving.
