Abstract

The authors clarify the content of reflection on the educational and didactic activities of students, taking into account the current requirements for their methodological training in unity with the development of educational independence of schoolchildren. In the content of the first type of reflection, we include the awareness by future teachers of the boundaries of their own knowledge and ignorance, the tasks of learning and its results, methods of methodological work, difficulties in mastering it and ways to overcome them. In the content of reflection on didactic activity, we put students’ understanding of the importance of teaching a subject for the development of schoolchildren; compliance of lesson objectives and methodological actions with the requirements of the standard; learning outcomes and difficulties in unity with the development of learning skills. The authors investigated the experience of students in two types of reflection by studying their introspection of lessons, questionnaires and conversations with them. We have found that future teachers are more inclined to reflect on didactic activity; they are not aware of all the components of educational activity; they have difficulties in reflecting on the methods of methodological actions. Based on the research, the authors propose the modernization of the training of future teachers for the development of their reflection and indicate its possible means.
